We have all three at SMART Centre Market. If you are a teacher searching for new ideas to teach science in your classroom, a parent looking for educational toys, books, and games, or a grandparent wanting to purchase "quality fun" for your grandchild, SMART Centre Market has something for you.
Unique gifts for the person who has everything can also be found. We wanted to create a place where all these items could be purchased and where we could also offer the community interactive science demonstrations and activities, starwatches, science presentations, birthday parties and more. We know science and science education.
Both owners are science and math educators and former classroom teachers with Master's degrees. Our merchandise is educational, fun, beautiful, or all of the above! We are very hands-on--demonstrating and explaining how items we sell work or letting you try them out. This interactivity even goes for looking through a telescope before you buy it at one of our many scheduled starwatching events. Almost everything we do revolves around science and science education. We have taken the time to collect a selection of items that blend science and nature with mathematics, art, and more. Vendors such as Wildscape, Inc with caddisfly jewelry, Prehistoric Planet with large scale fossil replicas, and local artists such as Russ Shaffer and Sue Smith all have fabulous pieces in our store. The world is a fascinating place and there is always more to learn.
